Using the Timeline
The Timeline page is made up of thumbnail images arranged in chronological order. Each image represents an event. Clicking on an image opens up an illustrated fact-file for that event.
- Each factfile is categorised by topic, clicking on the topic links to a sub-section of the timeline containing only events within that topic.
- Each image is credited, click on the credit to find out more about the source venue or website.
- Use the arrows on either side of each entry to move chronologically through events. If you are in the main timeline, you will move through each event if you are in a topic you move sequentially through events only within that topic.
- Clicking on the image in a factfile opens up a full screen version of that image.
The Topics page contains a number of popular subjects or themes. Each entry is categorized by these topics.
Click on a topic to explore a sub-section of the timeline containing only those events realting to that subject.
The Links page provides a list of trustworthy websites, categorised by topic, that relate to the events or subjects in the timeline.
The Venues page features a list of local locations which contain artefacts or exhibits from the period 1885 - 1925. These venues have been arranged by county.
